A thief who broke into a house in Anambra State while the owner was away reportedly fell victim to a native charm that forced him to repeatedly sweep the compound.
The bizarre incident was shared in a viral post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to the post, the intruder entered the property without knowing that it had been secured with a spiritual protective charm. As soon as he stepped inside, the charm allegedly took effect, compelling him to grab a broom and continuously sweep the compound.
A video circulating online appears to show the thief trapped in this strange loop, unable to stop sweeping until help arrived.
The individual who shared the video confirmed the incident, writing: “This reportedly happened in Atani, Anambra state. A thief broke into a compound while the homeowners were away.”
“However, a charm compelled him to start sweeping the premises repeatedly. This is the moment neighbors found him and are now waiting for the homeowners to return.”
