A Nigerian man has criticized actor Uzor Arukwe over his recent roles in movies.
Uzor Arukwe has been trending for his lead role in Love in Every Word, where he plays a wealthy Igbo man deeply in love with a career-driven woman, doing everything he can to win her affection.
While Uzor Arukwe has received praise for his performance in Love in Every Word, one Nigerian man was not impressed. According to him, Uzor’s portrayal of an Igbo man reinforced certain stereotypes about Igbo men.
The man argued that Igbo men do not speak or behave the way Uzor depicted in the movie. He also shared other negative critiques about Uzor’s role.
