Thibaut Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid, is being accused of neglecting his responsibilities by Elsa Izac, a former designer for Versace. Izac claims to be the mother of Courtois’ seven-year-old son, Enzo. She says that while Courtois lives a life of luxury, she and their son are struggling financially and could lose their home.
Izac, 50, lives in a £3 million house in Wimbledon but has reportedly fallen behind on mortgage payments, owing £63,000. She also says the house is in poor condition, with serious damp and mould problems, making it difficult to live in. “Our house is falling apart. We can’t keep living like this,” she told The Sun, as reported by Daily Mail.
Izac and Courtois reportedly had a short relationship after the footballer moved next door to her in 2014 when he joined Chelsea. Although Courtois was ordered to pay child support in 2020, Izac says the amount is not enough to cover their needs.
“I’m afraid the bank will take our house, and I get worried every time someone knocks on the door. I don’t want us to end up homeless,” she said.
Izac also criticized Courtois for spending money on luxury items, like private jet trips and yacht parties, while she and their son face financial difficulties. “It’s not right for Thibaut to travel on private jets and party on yachts while his son lives in these conditions. Surely he can do more to support his child?” she added.
Courtois, 32, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, has not publicly responded to these claims. He recently had a daughter with his wife, Mishel Gerzig, and has two other children from a previous relationship.
