A tenant decided to turn his rented house into a nightclub and restaurant without the landlord’s permission.
The tenant is reportedly using the property for commercial purposes and earning a significant income by running these businesses.
In a video trending online, it was revealed that the tenant renovated and converted the house into a nightclub, bar, and lounge. The property is said to be located in Osu, Accra, Ghana.
Many people who saw the video referred to the place as “Chez Toi.” On its Instagram page, the bio stated that the location offered apartments, a restaurant, and a lounge.
However, when the landlord discovered how the tenant was using the property, he tried to contact him multiple times but received no response. To make matters worse, the tenant had also stopped paying rent.
The landlord took the tenant to court, but the tenant failed to appear. As a result, the landlord has sought police assistance to enforce the eviction and has demanded that the tenant vacate the property.
The video was shared online with the caption:
“A Ghanaian man rented a house in Accra and without the landlord’s consent, converted it into a nightclub, bar and lounge. He also rented out some of the rooms as private suites and ran extensive advertisements on social media.
The police intervened and raided the property after he refused to appear in court, following a lawsuit filed by the landlord upon discovering the changes.”
