Nigerian crossdresser, James Brown has written an open letter to his embattled colleague, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, who was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
There have been speculations that Bobrisky was arrested for his crossdressing activities, but the EFCC clarified that it due to his abuse of the naira and alleged money laundering.
Weighing in on the matter the second time, James, who was once arrested and paraded for allegedly being gay, said he would never wish his friend or nemesis to go through similar experience.
In the open letter shared on his Instagram page, the drag queen said if there is any kind of help or support Bobrisky needs, he should not hesitate to reach out.
James Brown wrote; “[LETTER TO BOBRISKY]
I was Deeply saddened to hear about your tremendous current situation. It’s incredibly unfair that you’ve been locked up. Please know that you have my support and sympathy during this difficult time.
I Can’t imagine how challenging & it must be for you. Cause I can vividly remember what went I through, while I was there not to talk of u being a tr@nsgender. It’s not easy, but just be strong and fight your best.
You will come out stronger and better but I want you to know that I’m here for you. If there’s anything I can do to help, don’t hesitate to reach out. Sending you strength and positive thoughts. Stay strong! With heartfelt condolences, [JAMESBRROWN].”
He captioned the post; “I won’t wish my experience upon my friend, not talk of my nemesis”
