Afrobeats sensation, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, professionally known as Ruger, has revealed that he owns two firearms.

The ‘Girlfriend’ crooner made the disclosure while discussing the inspiration behind his stage name in a recent interview with content creator, Timi Agbaje.

The interviewer asked; “What is the inspiration behind the name Ruger?”

Ruger replied; “It’s a gun, mehn.”

Agbaje asked; “It’s a gun? So you have a gun?”

Ruger replied; “Yeah, I do. I have two.”

Tontrends recalls that Ruger recently opened up about leaving left D’Prince’s Jonzing World because they were allegedly exploiting him.

He made the allegation in a Twitter post while still extending appreciation to his former record label for bringing him to the limelight. Ruger said they were making money from him and using it to hunt for new artistes and fund other musicians signed to the label.

According to the ‘Asiwaju’ crooner, there was supposed to be a renegotiation of the music deal, but he could not renew his contract because the label did not push his brand to become as big as he wanted.

In a series of rant tweets, he accused the label management of not being transparent and leaving him out of crucial decisions that affect his own brand and music career.

The sensational singer said he has much more to spill but is scared that he might get stabbed if he divulged more about the happenings within D’Prince’s record label.

Ruger wrote; “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing world introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed.

Was supposed to renegotiate the contract but I couldn’t imagine 5 years more without action. Dey use my money Dey fund new artiste, leaving me in the dark, not being transparent. I just laugh. How e be now? Many things to to talk but dem fit go wait for me for ikoyi link bridge stab me wotowoto.

I complained, I got angry, some people tell me say no be so dem Dey do things. I still go back HQ go collect fake hugs and handshakes. Nothing still change. I wan mad 😂😂
