    Popular disk jockey, Florence Otedola, aka DJ Cuppy, has hailed Nigerian singers for making the country proud on the global stage.

    She singled out Nigerian afrobeats stars, Asake, Rema, Ruger and Shallipopi for praise following their recent debut at UK’s Wireless Festival.

    Recall that the Nigerian afrobeats quartet thrilled attendees across different dates of the 2024 Wireless Festival in London.

    DJ Cuppy, who also djed at the festival, took to social media to congratulate and hail Rema, Asake, Ruger, and Shallipopi for their stellar performances.

    On her X handle, she wrote: “I have to hail all my brothers o! Congrats to @asakemusik, @heisrema, @shallipopi_, and @rugerofficial for their stellar performances at #WirelessFestival.

    “Proud to see our Naij boys shining on the global stage. Carry last for wherrrreeee?!”

    Recently, Ayra Starr and Burna Boy made history as the first African artistes to perform on the mainstage of the UK’s most popular festival, Glastonbury.

    British group, Cold Play also brought out legendary Nigerian afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti, during their performance at Glastonbury.
