Moments after a Lagos Court declared him not guilty in Mohbad’s case, Singer Naira Marley motivates Nigerians with a passage of the Quran

Nigerian singer Naira Marley shared a motivational Quranic passage after a Lagos court cleared him of any involvement in the case surrounding Mohbad’s death.

A Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, discharged Naira Marley, whose real name is Abdulazeez Fashola, in connection with the death of singer Aloba Oladimeji Ilerioluwa, popularly known as Mohbad.

Presiding Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, based on legal advice from the Lagos Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), ruled that Naira Marley had no case to answer.

Also cleared were music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.

However, the DPP stated that Mohbad’s auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and his friend, Ayobami Sadiq, will face charges for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251(e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.

Following the judgement, Naira Marley wrote on X,formerly Twitter: ” And whoever puts his trust in Allah, he will be enough for him (65:3).
