Former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, has been murdered by kidnappers after being abducted in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, Parradang was kidnapped near the Area 1 district of the Federal Capital Territory shortly after withdrawing money from a bank. The attackers reportedly followed him, stole the cash, and later killed him.
Makama stated that the incident has raised fresh concerns about the growing insecurity in Abuja, particularly the rising cases of kidnappings and targeted attacks.
Parradang dedicated over 30 years to the Nigerian Immigration Service, serving in various roles across Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and Abuja before rising to the position of Comptroller-General.
