Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has announced that corps members will start receiving a monthly allowance of N77,000 from March 2025.
During a meeting with corps members at the NYSC offices in Wuse and Garki, Abuja, Nafiu assured them that the Federal Government and the NYSC are fully committed to their welfare. He stressed that the well-being of corps members is a top priority.
The DG praised the dedication of corps members and encouraged them to remain calm, focused, and disciplined in their duties. He also thanked the founders of the NYSC program and called on everyone involved to continue supporting its goals.
Additionally, he reaffirmed the NYSC’s mission to teach corps members values like patriotism, discipline, leadership, and teamwork.
“From March, you will start receiving N77,000 as your monthly allowance. NYSC keeps accurate records, and I assure you that your payments will be made promptly. The nation and the scheme value your service,” Nafiu assured.
