A young man has reportedly been assaulted and arrested by police officers in Egbeda, Lagos, for having dreadlocks and being mistaken for a fraudster.
According to an audio narration of the incident, the man was arrested on March 1, 2025, near Karim Lakha Road, Egbeda, by police officers who suspected him of being a “Yahoo boy” due to his appearance.
He was taken to the police station, where he now pleads for help, claiming he has no money or anyone to assist him.
