Popular Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti in a recent statement disclosed that Monogamy, the practice of a man having just one wife is a dead end as it doesn’t work.
Singer Seun Kuti, the son of the late Afrobeats legend, Fela Kuti made this known to all and sundry while featuring as a guest on the Bahd and Boujee Podcast hosted by media personality Moet Abebe and reality TV star Tolanibaj.
During the interview, Moet Abebe asked; “Topic today, monogamy, when you hear that word, Seun what is the first thing that comes to your mind?”
Responding, Seun Kuti said, “It doesn’t work.”
Tolanibaj asked; “Are you married?”
Seun Kuti responded; “Yes”
Backing up his point on why he said that monogamy doesn’t work even though he is married, Seun Kuti utters that a powerful man must have numerous powerful goddesses around him.
According to him, the ancestors put those women in the life of a man so that the man can share with them just he he shares with his wife.
Seun Kuti further added that people knowns about his later father Fela 27 wives, but they don’t know about his over 100 girlfriends who also lives with them in the house.
In his words; “As a powerful man,you must have the support of numerous powerful goddeses, you know women that are in your life because the ancestors want to put them there, youshare with them as you share with your wife.
“People only know of Fela’s 27 wives, they don’t know of his over 100 girlfriends that also live with us in the house.”
