The Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Tunji Alausa, has urged Nigerians to avoid street protests, assuring that President Bola Tinubu is strategically restructuring the country from the bottom up.

Speaking with journalists, Alausa expressed confidence that ongoing reforms would soon yield positive results, making the country more attractive for its citizens.

Alausa, representing President Tinubu at an event, encouraged Nigerians to support the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Addressing the planned protests, Alausa said, “There’s no need to protest. We have a president, President Bola Tinubu, who is restructuring this country in a very strategic manner. He has undertaken significant reforms, more than any president in the last 45 years. He has taken difficult decisions for a better tomorrow, addressing issues like the exchange rate and fuel subsidies that have plagued us for decades.”

He claimed that farmers are receiving better support and can return to their fields without fear of banditry. Alausa also pointed out that inflation and high food prices are global issues, not unique to Nigeria.

Alausa emphasized Tinubu’s innovative approach, such as denominating the sale of crude oil in Naira, which he said would save the country $7.3 billion annually and strengthen the Naira’s value.

Urging Nigerians to remain patient, Alausa concluded, “By the time the foundation of development being laid begins to materialize, citizens will no longer seek greener pastures elsewhere. This country is moving in the right direction.”
