You’re causing noise pollution-Governor Soludo warns Street Preacher, says it’s illegal with N500k fine

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has strongly warned a street preacher who was disrupting business activities in a local market.

In a video that has gone viral, Soludo, clearly upset, confronted the preacher for what he called “pollution” by turning the market into a place of worship.

“If you want to preach the word of God, go to a church. People who want to listen will come to you. You can’t force everyone,” Soludo said firmly.

The governor stressed that the market is meant for buying and selling, not for religious activities. He warned that such disruptions could lead to arrests, as using public spaces for preaching without permission is against the law.

“We respect freedom of worship, but you can’t preach in the middle of a market where people are trying to do business. If you do, I’ll charge you for using this space illegally,” he added.
