Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has sent a clear message to his squad, including star striker Harry Kane, emphasizing that only fully committed players will have a future at the club.
In an interview with FIFA’s official website, Kompany underscored the importance of dedication and ambition, stating, “Be hungry or go somewhere else. It’s very simple.”
The former Manchester City captain took charge of Bayern ahead of the 2024/25 season, with the responsibility of reclaiming the club’s dominance in Germany and Europe.
Despite leading Bayern to the top of the Bundesliga and securing a spot in the Champions League last 16, speculation has arisen about his long-term future at the club.
Kompany, however, remains unfazed by the scrutiny, citing his experience with high-pressure environments since his early days at Anderlecht and later at Manchester City.
“I’ve always played and worked in highly demanding places. By the time I reached top-level football, dealing with expectations was already second nature to me,” he said.
With Harry Kane netting 29 goals in 33 appearances this season, Bayern are firmly in contention for silverware. However, it remains uncertain whether the England captain will remain under Kompany’s leadership beyond the current campaign.
