A young boy is fighting for his life after a terrible accident involving police officers on the Dawaki-Kubwa Expressway in Abuja.
According to people who saw what happened, the boy was sent by his mother to buy water. On his way back home, police officers suddenly entered his car without warning or a checkpoint. One officer reportedly tried to grab the steering wheel, causing the car to lose control. The vehicle flipped three times and fell into a ditch.
The boy was badly hurt in the crash and may have internal injuries. Witnesses said he was very weak before being taken to the hospital, where he is now receiving emergency treatment.
Instead of helping the boy, the police officers tried to drive away. But people nearby quickly stopped them by flattening the tires of their vehicle and rescuing the boy from the wrecked car.
The officers’ reckless behavior has caused anger, with many calling for justice and accountability. So far, the authorities have not made any official statement about the incident.
