Nigerian Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has responded to people asking her to sign an artist or start a record label.
According to Tiwa Savage, she doesn’t have the ability to sign upcoming artists, mentor them, or oversee artists under her label.
She further explained that managing artists is too stressful, adding that she is still dealing with her own stress and doesn’t want to take on more.
Tiwa Savage stated that she prefers to create opportunities in other ways.
“Everyone always says to me, ‘When are you going to sign an artiste?’ I don’t think I have the gift to sign another artiste, because artistes are stressful. I could just be sleeping, and then I will wake up and my artist is trending for something else,” she said.
