A middle-aged woman pretended to buy an item from a shop in Tudu Market, Accra, Ghana, and made away with GHS 10,000 (equivalent to 750,000 Naira) from the bag of a lady who had carelessly left her handbag unattended.
In the video seen by Happen.ng, the suspect pretended to shop while surveying the area to steal the money from the lady’s handbag.
She is seen pretending to check out items until she seized the opportunity and made off with the money. She immediately left the shop after taking the cash.
The shop owner called on the public to help apprehend the woman who stole the money.
