Ronaldo Nazario didn’t hesitate when asked if Cristiano Ronaldo is the GOAT and his answer may surprise fans

Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazario has weighed in on whether Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest footballer of all time.

Over the years, the Portuguese superstar has shattered records and cemented his place among football’s elite. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has played for some of the biggest clubs, including Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. Now, at 40, he continues to make an impact with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr.

With an incredible tally of 790 goals in 1,050 club appearances, Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of football’s greatest icons. But when asked if he is the undisputed GOAT, Ronaldo Nazario had a different take.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian legend acknowledged Cristiano Ronaldo’s achievements but stopped short of calling him the greatest.

“I don’t like getting into these debates,” he said. “He has a fantastic career, has achieved incredible things, and scored in every way possible. He even adapted his game from winger to striker, which is not easy. He is among the best in history, but the best? I wouldn’t say so. I would place him in the top 10.”

Ronaldo’s response offers a balanced perspective on the GOAT debate, recognizing Cristiano’s greatness while leaving room for other legends in football history.
