A lecturer called a student’s family during class to report her, telling them they were wasting money on her school fees.
Reports say the incident happened at Ekiti State University, where a normal lecture session took an unexpected turn.
In the video sighted by Happen.ng, the student stood beside the lecturer in front of the Class as the lecturer held her phone and spoke with the student’s sister.
While on the phone with the student’s sister, the lecturer apologized for calling at that moment and asked if she was the one sponsoring the student’s education. The sister replied that it was the parents funding her education, and the lecturer requested to speak to the student’s father, claiming the student was wasting her parents’ money.
When other students reacted with shock and disbelief, the lecturer pulled the student aside and stood at the entrance of the lecture hall to avoid the noise while she continued reporting the student to her parents.
However, the video did not clarify what the student did to prompt the lecturer to take such extreme action. Some speculate that the student misbehaved during the lecture, which angered the lecturer and led her to report the student to her family.

While some criticized the lecturer for being unprofessional, others praised her for informing the parents that their money was being wasted.
