Pastor Korede Komaiya, the lead pastor of The Master’s Place International Church, has shared advice for those planning to get married, highlighting key things needed for a lasting marriage.
According to Pastor Korede Komaiya, you can marry anyone, but you must also be the right person. He emphasized that marrying for the wrong reasons can lead to the collapse of the union.
During a sermon, he stated that choosing a life partner is one of the most important decisions after salvation, so it should be taken very seriously.
Pastor Korede Komaiya advised against marrying for the wrong reasons, stressing that marriage is a destiny-shaping decision. He added that it’s not just about finding the right person; you also need to be the right person, or the marriage will face challenges.
He also pointed out that no one can find a perfect person to marry, as everyone is a work in progress.
In his words:
” You can’t marry anybody and you can’t marry everybody. The Choice of who to marry remains one of the greatest decisions of your life after salvation. With marriage, you are likely to stay with the person of your life . Never take the choice of who to marry with levity.
Don’t marry because you pity anybody, Don’t marry because you want to compete. Don’t marry because of cultural pressure. Marriage is a destiny decision, you have to be conscious of it. You have to be deliberate about it. When you marry right you now need to be right yourself because even when you marry the right person and you are not the right yourself everything still goes wrong.
You will never get a perfect person to marry .We are all work in progress ”
